This Gecko brooch is one of the artist’s signature pieces.
In Japan, geckos are believed to bring good fortune as they protect homes from pests. That’s why they are called "Yamori" (House Guardian).

The eyes and feet of this gecko are decorated with garnet, the birthstone of January.
Garnet symbolizes truth, passion, prosperity, vitality, and friendship. It is often given as a gift to represent eternal love and friendship.
