Penguin - Magnetic Brooch (Austrian Metal Art)
This one-of-a-kind brooch is crafted using wires coated in pure gold and silver, as used in the traditional Austrian craft “Klosterarbeiten.”
The artist, Hiyoshi Katayama, designs and creates each piece entirely by hand.
While made of metal, the brooch is light and airy, with a distinctive texture that gives it a unique presence.
Over time, the color deepens, developing a beautiful antique-like character.
This piece comes with a custom frame lined with traditional Japanese washi paper.
When not worn as a brooch, it can be displayed as art to brighten your space.
A strong magnet is used as the fastener, so it can be attached without piercing clothing or bags.
The motif and the magnet are connected with a chain, reducing the risk of loss.
It’s easy to adjust the position or remove, making it perfect for hats, coats, bags, and more.

Penguins are often portrayed as cute, but this one has a rebellious, mischievous vibe — and that makes it super cool!

It would look great on a jacket or coat lapel.
