Pufferfish – Magnetic Brooch
This one-of-a-kind brooch is made using coil wires coated with real gold and silver—materials traditionally used in Klosterarbeiten, Austrian devotional artworks.
The artist, Hiyoshi Katayama, handles the entire process from design to creation.
While it has the beauty of metal, the delicate and airy texture of the wire gives the piece a unique presence.
Over time, the color deepens and takes on an antique-like character, adding to its charm.
This piece comes with a custom frame lined with Japanese washi paper, designed to match the artwork’s aesthetic.
When not worn as a brooch, it can be displayed like art and bring warmth to your space.
A strong magnet is used for fastening, so it can be worn without making holes in your clothes or bags.
The motif and magnet are connected by a chain, so there's less risk of falling or losing it.
It can be easily adjusted or removed, and works well with hats, coats, bags, and more.
